Basically, after you adopt them you get a fully drawn version of them in digital or traditional, whichever you want. Digital will have to wait because I'm going on vacation soon. (read: tomorrow)

After you adopt them, you may change the designs slightly but cannot resell them or change the gems. Other than that, it's really up to you what happens with them. You can adopt more than one gem, but you'll have to draw the fusion from the designs yourself.
